Surgery at ~11:30am

My surgery is scheduled to start around 11:30am (July 19th), making me the 2nd surgery of the day with the surgery is expected to take ~4 hours. Definitely easier than a 0-dark thirty time, and I'm assuming the surgeon will be nicely warmed up for my surgery. ;-)

I will have Luisa provide a post-op update on this blog.

  1. Best of luck. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the surgeon. :)

  2. Jim -

Carri wrote to me on fb and this is her beautiful prayer for you, me and our family:

For the skillful and loving care of the surgeon and staff, for Jim's physical and mental stamina, for the healing power of your sunshine to permeate all (and also for you to receive your own comfort instead of having to be the comforter), for the kiddos to experience God's loving peace that surpasses all understanding and for the whole vast and loving Sunderland ecosystem to be joined in prayer! I don't ask for much but these are my prayers.
    With love - Carri

  3. Jim,

Mary, Donna, Meg, Leninha and Tiffany sent me texts expressing that we are in their thoughts and prayers.

I talked to my mom, Tio Tiberio, Madrinha and Madrinha Velma. They want you to know you are in their prayers. Madrinha Velma expressed how very proud she is of you. She is proud of how you are handling yourself through treatment and beyond. I visited with Jill and she is praying. When I picked up the kids from VBS, Cynthia said she is praying for you.

All around you and all around our family is a deep and vast connection of love that keeps growing and as such, continues to sustain us. We are so blessed.

    I love you,
    Lu
